CD | BARTMES | 1998
The first Bartmes CD was recorded live in a small New York recording studio. Jason DiMatteo and John Bollinger were part of the regular trio with which they played the New York club scene and frequently toured Europe at that time. The trio recorded live to tape but the additional melody players had to come for an extra session to overdub their parts because they would not fit in the romm at the same time as the trio. Amazing musicians as they are they nailed it at the first take making it easily sound like it was recorded as a quintet.
